- A promo code from a partner (for example a telephony operator, an agency or a podcast). It gives bonus minutes or balance credit, as soon as you enter it.
- The referral code of another business that uses BrosBots. The referral is recorded at once, and the reward comes after your first payment, for both businesses.
Where to enter a code
- The setup wizard after signup, first step (company details): the
Promo or referral code (optional) field. If you sign up from a link with
?promo=CODEor?ref=CODE, the field is filled in for you. The code is checked when you save the step; a wrong code stops the wizard with a message, and you only need to fix it or clear it. - Billing, the Refer BrosBots card: the Have a promo code? field. It takes both kinds of code. The field disappears once the account has both a promo code and a recorded referral.
- and _. Each organization gets 10 attempts an hour; past
that, try again in an hour.
If the link carried both a partner code and a referral code, the field gets
the partner code, and the referral from the link is recorded along the way,
without a separate message.
Promo code
A promo code gives one of two things, depending on the code:- Bonus minutes, added to the account at once. How they are used is in Bonus minutes.
- Balance credit in PLN, added to the balance at once like ordinary funds. It is not a payment, so it does not trigger a referral reward. On the Free plan you can’t buy a number or phone minutes anyway, so in practice it is useful once you move to a paid plan.
- One promo code per organization, ever. A second code is refused, even a different one.
- Only within 30 days of creating the organization. After that the code is refused.
- A code can have an expiry date and a usage limit (shared across all accounts). Past the date or once the limit is used up, it stops working.
- A code can be switched off; a switched-off code stops working for new accounts. Switching it off does not take back minutes or credit already given.
Referrals
Every organization has its own referral link on the Refer BrosBots card on the Billing page, in the form/auth/register?ref=CODE. The
code has 8 characters with no easily confused ones (0, O, 1, I, L), so it can
also be read out over the phone. Copy link copies the full address.
How it works:
- A business signs up from your link (or enters your code in the wizard or in Billing). The referral is recorded.
- When that business pays for the first time, both businesses get 100 bonus minutes each: you for the referred account, they for signing up through a referral.
- Both sides get a notification in the panel, and the transaction history shows a Minuty za polecenie (referral minutes) row.
- A referral code works only for an account that has not paid yet and is at most 30 days old.
- One referral per organization. A second referral code is refused.
- You can’t use your own code. A code is also refused when the two organizations share at least one user: two accounts of the same person are not a referral.
- There is no limit on how many businesses you can refer.
Bonus minutes
Minutes from a promo code and from referrals go into one pool of bonus minutes:- They are used after the plan’s package minutes and before the balance.
- They don’t expire at the end of the billing period. They stay on the account until you use them.
- They work on every channel your plan has: the widget and, on plans with telephony, phone calls.
- While you have bonus minutes, a call shorter than 10 seconds does not cost the flat 0.03 PLN fee.
- On a Partner plan account, the agency’s bonus minutes also cover calls of its client accounts, because the agency’s wallet pays for them. An agency client account cannot use codes itself.
Where you see it in billing
- The Refer BrosBots card in Billing: the current bonus minutes, your link, referral stats and the promo code you used.
- Transaction history: rows Minuty z kodu promocyjnego (promo code minutes), Kod promocyjny (balance credit from a promo code) and Minuty za polecenie (referral minutes). The history labels are in Polish. Rows with minutes don’t change the balance.
- The call description in the transaction history: a call that used bonus minutes says so (“min z bonusu”).
Discount code on a plan purchase
The Stripe checkout page for a plan purchase has a field for a discount code. This is a separate mechanism: the discount lowers the subscription price on the invoice and Stripe checks it. Discount codes can’t be used on a balance top-up. A 100% discount code is not a payment, so it does not trigger a referral reward and gives no credit on a plan change.Rules
- A promo code can be used once by an organization that is at most 30 days old. The code is valid within the dates and usage limit Ivorylab set for it; Ivorylab can switch a code off, which does not take back what was already given.
- A referral can be recorded once by an organization that is at most 30 days old, before its first payment. You can’t refer your own organization or an organization that shares a user with the referring one.
- The referral reward is 100 bonus minutes for each side, given once after the referred organization’s first payment.
- Bonus minutes don’t expire at the end of the billing period and are used after the plan’s package, before the balance.
- Codes are not available to client accounts run by an agency on the Partner plan.
