# Generate an agent with AI

> Enter your company's website or describe the business in your own words - the AI analyzes it, proposes three agents and builds the one you pick on an industry template.

## Introduction

**Generate with AI** is the fastest way to an agent when you don't want to
pick a template or fill in a form. You enter your company's website and the
AI:

* reads the home page and the most informative subpages (offer, pricing,
  contact, opening hours, FAQ),
* builds a **business profile** - what you do, what you sell and at what
  price, for whom, and how to reach you,
* lists the **questions customers ask most often**, answered from the site,
* proposes **three different agents** that fit your business.

The agent you pick is built on the same [industry template](/en/voice-agent/onboarding-templates)
you would choose by hand, so it gets the same conversation structure, tools
and anti-hallucination guardrails - the AI just fills in the form for you.

Already have a call script your sales team uses? Pick
[I have a call script](/en/voice-agent/call-script) instead: the agent follows
the script, and only the facts come from the website.

You can open the wizard in two ways: paste the address into the **"Got a
website? Let AI build the agent for you"** banner above the template gallery
(the analysis starts right away), or click the **AI Generate** card below the
gallery.

## Step 1: Business

Enter the website address, e.g. `yourcompany.com` - no `https://` needed.
Optionally enter the company name if the site uses a different one (e.g.
just the brand instead of the full name).

**No website?** Click **No website - I'll describe the business myself** and
write a few sentences: what you do, services and prices, opening hours,
address, why customers call and what you expect from the agent. The more
specifics, the better the agent - the AI only uses what you provide.

## Step 2: Analysis

The analysis usually takes **20-40 seconds**. Besides the visible text of
the pages, the AI gets what a site often keeps out of sight:

* the page title and meta descriptions,
* phone numbers and e-mail addresses behind "Call" and "Write to us" buttons,
* schema.org structured data (address, opening hours, prices, FAQ) that
  many sites publish only for search engines.

This means sites built entirely in JavaScript, whose plain text is nearly
empty, can still be analyzed. If the address does not respond, the wizard
also tries it with `www.` added (or removed) and over `http://`.

<Note>
  We only read the public pages at the address you give - no login, cart,
  blog or privacy policies. Nothing is saved until you create the agent.
</Note>

## Step 3: Proposals

On the left you see **what the AI knows about the business**: name,
industry, description, offer, opening hours, address, phone and e-mail, plus
how many pages were read and how many customer questions were found. Click
**Edit** to change anything - this data goes into the agent.

On the right are three agent proposals, best first (marked
**Recommended**). Each one shows:

* the **call direction** - inbound (customers call the agent) or outbound
  (the agent calls, e.g. leads or with a reminder),
* the **template** it will be built on,
* why it is worth deploying and the expected effect,
* what the agent will do on calls.

If none fits, choose **I have my own idea**, describe the agent's job and
pick the call direction. The agent is then built on the general template,
but with all the business knowledge from the analysis.

## Step 4: Summary

The AI maps the chosen proposal onto the template's fields: goal,
conversation plan, details to collect, limits, tone and form of address,
plus the FAQ, knowledge base and contact details. Industry-specific fields
(e.g. a restaurant's menu) are also read from the site for the chosen
template.

On the summary you can adjust the essentials:

* the **company name** the agent introduces itself with,
* the **agent's main goal**,
* **tone** and **form of address**,
* the **details to collect** from the caller, including your own,
* **language** and **voice**,
* **transfer to a human**.

Everything else - tasks, FAQ, knowledge base, contact details and
integrations (bookings, SMS, e-mail, CRM, Google Sheets) - is under **Open
all settings**. It is the same wizard as for
[templates](/en/voice-agent/onboarding-templates#the-setup-form), with the fields already
filled in; **Back to the AI summary** takes you back.

Click **Create agent**. The prompt is written natively in the chosen
language, just like with [templates](/en/voice-agent/onboarding-templates#prompt-generation-and-language).

<Tip>
  Review the FAQ and knowledge base in the advanced settings before the first
  call. The AI takes answers only from your site, but if the site is out of
  date (old prices or hours), the agent will repeat what it says.
</Tip>

## Blank agent

If you'd rather configure everything by hand, choose **Start with Blank Agent** below
the template gallery. You provide:

* the **agent name** (required),
* the **call direction** - inbound or outbound,
* the **agent's goal** (optional),
* **language** and **voice**.

With a goal, the AI writes a starting prompt around it. Without one you get a
clean scaffold. Either way you land straight in the
[agent editor](/en/voice-agent/agent-editor).
